Tucker Playground Project

Support. Build. Play.

The Tucker Elementary School PTO is leading a multi-year effort to redesign and rebuild the Tucker Playground and Outdoor Learning Space—a vital community hub in one of Milton’s Most diverse and vibrant neighborhoods.

Tucker Elementary School servers 460 students in preschool through 5th grade and is Milton’s only Title 1 school, a Federal designation based on students’ socio-economic needs. The current playground is over 20 years old, with equipment that no longer meets safety standards and is not fully ADA accessible. Portions of the playground are currently closed due to damage, limiting safe play and learning opportunities.

Tucker’s main outdoor playground is limited in its size and scope and is long overdue for upgrades. All other Milton elementary schools made improvements to their playgrounds and outdoor spaces with community support in recent years — but Tucker has not made significant structural changes. It’s time for Tucker students and families to enjoy a safe, modern outdoor space that reflects their school pride and the community’s commitment to its children.
