Annual Appeal

Dear Tucker Families,

Welcome back for the 2025-2026 school year! As the Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO) of Tucker, we are proud to be part of such a vibrant, supportive, and engaged school community. Our role is to support Tucker’s dedicated educators and staff in providing the best possible environment for our children to learn, grow, and thrive.

This year, we are reaching out to ask for your support in two key areas to ensure the continued success of our school and enhance the experience of our students both inside and outside the classroom.

Supporting the Operational Budget

Each year, the PTO hosts or supports various programs, activities, and events. Our annual operating budget funds these initiatives, which include:

  • Classroom Support: Funding for teaching supplies, enrichment programs, and classroom enhancements such as digital learning tools like BrainPOP, Scholastic resources, and other interactive educational platforms.

  • Cultural and Educational Events: Supporting assemblies, field trips, and guest speakers that broaden our students' horizons.

  • Teacher supports: Providing teachers with the funds they need to pursue innovative classroom projects and professional development opportunities.

  • Community Building Events: Organizing fun, school-wide events like UNITY night, the lantern walk, and the Tucker fair that strengthen the bond between our families.

These initiatives are made possible through the generous support of our school community, and we need your help to meet our budgetary goals for this year.

Creating a Safe and Fun Playground for All

In addition to our operational budget, we are excited to announce a special initiative to build a new playground for Tucker students. Our current playground has served Tucker well for many years, but it is now outdated and in need of replacement. Our vision is to create a safe, inclusive, and engaging outdoor space where children of all ages and abilities can play, grow, and thrive together. This new playground will feature modern equipment, accessible structures, improvements to the outdoor classroom, and areas that support physical activity, creativity, and social interaction.

How You Can Help

We are asking for your support to help us achieve both of these important goals. You can contribute in the following ways:

  1. Make a Financial Donation: Your donation will directly support both the operational budget and the development of a new playground for our school community. Whether you can contribute $25, $50, $100, or more, every gift makes a difference. Donations can be submitted by visiting www.tuckerpto.com/donate, and selecting the donation category “Tucker PTO General Fund”. You may also donate via check using the attached envelope sent home with your child, or you can deliver this in-person during Tucker’s open house on September 16. All donations are tax-deductible.

  2. Volunteer Your Time: The PTO relies entirely on volunteers. Whether it's helping at an event, serving on a committee, or being a classroom parent, your time and energy are invaluable.

  3. Corporate Sponsorships and Matching Gifts: Many companies offer matching gift programs or sponsor local causes. If your employer offers such a program, please consider applying to double your impact!

  4. Share Our Appeal: Even if you are unable to contribute financially, please spread the word about our appeal!
